At the end of our recent seminar 'Rain Gardens: The Beauty and Benefits of Stormwater Management' at Avalon Library, several attendees asked us: Where can you buy native plants and perennials in Chicago?
Especially on the South Side, it's hard to find plant sources besides big-box stores, let alone native plant sources. We decided to do some research and create a list of community plant sales, nurseries, and other places in the Chicagoland area where our members can buy quality native plants and perennials for their gardens!
